Abaco ferry - fast and nice
Abaco ferry is foranyone. If you're of an adventurous frame of mind, and have time to spare, you can revert to the mode of transportation that islanders used before the advent of air travel: Abaco ferry and the traditional mailboats.
Although fast, modern, air-conditioned Abaco ferry now make some of the trips, some of the more remote destinations are still served by slow, old-fashioned craft with few amenities. Within the $loc ferry, it has the most, and most comfortable, options for island-hopping, that offer food and beverages served by cabin attendants.

Abaco ferry - a good transportation choice
The Abacos are a string of Bahamian islands located approximately 175 miles east of Palm Beach, Florida. The "mainland" is Great Abaco, third largest island in the Bahamas, with a curve of cays just a few miles offshore creating the protected Sea of Abaco, perfect for sailing or day trip power boating. Great Abaco is the largest island in the Abacos. Marsh Harbour is the principal city, the third largest in the Bahamas. It has the largest protected deep water harbour in Abaco, and an international airport serviced by major US and Bahamian carriers. Naturally, it has many shops, restaurants, marinas, and accommodations. From Marsh Harbour you can travel easily by ferry or rental boat to the outlying cays, or by automobile to Treasure Cay (not really a separate cay, but located north of Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco!), Cooperstown, Cherokee Sound, or Sandy Point. Anything is being offered here! By ferry tourists can easily reach Hope Town, on Elbow's Cay Island: simply unforgettable! No doubt one of the most requested destinations in the Abacos it boasts its astonishing candy striped lighthouse as well as Martha!s grapewines! Many are the facilities offered, not to forget scuba and boat rental, holidays home rental and much more! The notorious cays can only be reached by ferry! One of them, Great Guana Cay, whose sand beach is white in colour, has an extremely good restaurant where a delicious sunday native pork roast can be enjoyed!
